Abstract:A large study of adults who were at risk to exposure in utero to the 1957 influenza A2 epidemics in Helsinki. Those at risk during the second trimester have significantly more hospitalisation for schizophrenia than individuals potentially exposed during the other trimesters or during the first years following birth.

Discussion:Increasing and converging evidence suggest that anomalies develop prenatally in schizophrenia. See entry 0065
