Abstract:The data presented suggest a cancer preventive effect of breastfeeding to the offspring when mothers consume soya food. Such infants would be exposed to the known anticancer agents genistein and diadzein in a more bioavailable form through human milk. This effect, which will take place at a very early and most critical developmental period, might protect the individual throughout life.
